My name is Danielle Logan (she/her), I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California, and I have been providing mental health therapy since 2014. I was inspired to become a therapist while working with foster youth as a residential staff in a group home and transitioned into an on-site therapeutic social worker at the group home. I loved working in that community and worked there for 13 years, but after COVID and starting my family, I decided to shift to remote work and have been providing remote therapy since 2022.
I have worked with clients from various backgrounds including but not limited to transitional aged youth, adults, individuals with history of abuse and/or trauma, LGBTQ+, African American, Native American, Hispanic, and Caucasian. In 2022 I also got trained in EMDR therapy and specialize in treating trauma and other distressing experiences.
I primarily utilize ACT and EMDR Therapy to increase my clients’ tools to manage their distress, help them explore their values, identify barriers that are preventing them from living in line with those values, help them identify actions to help them move towards their values, and reprocess any trauma or other distressing experiences that contribute to negative beliefs about themself and/or the world so that they are able to live more authentically and have a better quality of life.
I offer remote/video talk therapy and EMDR sessions to clients that reside anywhere in California. I have learned that allowing my clients to determine our path and pace of therapy. Some clients want a lot of tools to manage their anxiety, some just want a professional to verbally process with, some need a lot of time to feel comfortable and safe enough to address their trauma and issues while others want to dive in right away. As long as there are no safety concerns, I am happy to go as fast or as slow as you're comfortable with and support you on the path that works best for you.
I do not accept insurance but I am happy to provide a superbill/a receipt for services which you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Depending on the terms of your health coverage, your plan may or may not reimburse you for out-of-network services.
I hope to see you soon!
